Welcome to A Lovenote.
Ever slide under a closing door like in the movies? That’s exactly what it feels like getting this email out to you. I made it! It’s Sunday, you’re here I’m here and we’ve got things to chat about.
Let’s get right into it!
Hello lovely,
You know what I love most about September? While everyone else is obsessing over January resolutions that fizzled out by February, September quietly shows up with this incredible fresh-start energy. I know you feel it too….
Maybe it's the crisp morning air, or just finally getting so peace and quiet in the house. There's something about this time of year that just feels like possibility, doesn't it?
I was talking to a client yesterday who said, "Christie, I keep waiting for the right moment to focus on myself again." And honestly? I get it. We tell ourselves we'll start when life calms down, when work isn't so crazy, I’ll start Monday, or when the kids need us less.
But here's what I've learned after years of working with women in midlife: that "perfect" moment doesn't exist. What does exist is this September energy we're feeling right now.
If you're anything like the women I work with, you're probably exhausted by the constant cycle of:
Promising yourself you'll prioritize your health... tomorrow
Feeling like your body has completely changed without your permission
Having zero energy for the things that used to light you up
Trying every new "solution" only to end up more frustrated than before
I see you. I've been there myself.
The truth is, your body isn't broken—it's just speaking a different language now. And once you understand what it's actually asking for (hint: it's not another restrictive diet), everything starts to shift.
That's exactly why I created my 5-Day Cortisol Reset. Because sometimes you need someone to say, "Start here. Do this. It's going to be okay."
Starting Monday, September 8th, I'm walking you through exactly what your midlife body is craving:
A real food plan that actually gives you energy instead of crashes
Movement that supports your hormones instead of stressing them out
Simple tweaks to your daily routine that compound into big changes
The relief of finally having a plan that makes sense
This isn't about perfection or dramatic transformations. It's about giving yourself permission to start where you are, with what you have, right now.
Your September fresh start is waiting for you. Are you ready to claim it?
[Join the 5-Day Reset here] and let's do this together.

P.S. - I only open this reset a few times a year, and September spots always fill up fast. If you're feeling that little nudge in your chest saying "yes, this is for me," trust it. If you have questions about it, feel free to hit reply and let me know.
Some things you didn’t ask for (but might enjoy)...

I honestly thought there would be more.
ADVICE. Scientifically proven ways to boost mental and physical wellness (in less time than it takes to read this article -- ready, set, go!).
SCROLLING. I loved this post from Jessica Biel where she shares her fitness routine. I love how she explains that being in peak fitness (she was working out for a part in a film) isn’t completely sustainable, but that building muscle is still important.
READING. We blew through the Inheritance Games Series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. It’s an awesome YA trilogy. If you have any end-of-summer road trips with the family, I highly recommend you get it on audible to enjoy in the car. My 17, 16 and 13 year old all enjoyed listening to it during our many trips to and from cottages over the past few weeks.
SHOPPING. I ordered these sandals after seeing how chic all the women in France dress. I need to zhush up my footwear game!
Can we just talk about how brilliant this little table that shoves into the crevice in your couch is??
When I got home from France, I had a desperate roots appointment. My hair dresser gave me the most exquisite scalp massage with this tool. It’s miracle-tool that invigorates blood flow to the scalp to exfoliate, remove product buildup, and control flakiness. (US LINK)
My absolute favourite swimsuit brand, Left on Friday, is having a very rare sale! I love this bikini top and these high waisted bottoms. They are universally flattering (IMO)-both my sisters and bestie have both hopped on board and they love them too. I would size up. They run a titch small. I recommend this brand with all my heart. Now 30% off! This is my suit. I also own this 1-piece and am always complimented on it.
I do love the fall, but Halloween is my least favourite holiday. However, I think I could get behind this cute ghost cloche.
I bought my very first pair of barrel leg jeans (IKIK - I’m always the last to the trends!) I can’t believe I waited so long. They are much more flattering than I anticipated and I LOVE. them!
WATCHING. The Son on Prime with Pierce Brosnan. What is it with all these early Americana shows and my obsession with them?
That’s it for me this morning. Thank you for reading and continuing to support this newsletter ❤️ Fill me in on what you’re up to and what you’d like to see more of. xoC
