Welcome to A Lovenote.

A weekly digest where I say hello and share. You’ll find things you can cook this week + some things you didn’t ask for but might enjoy. I’m so glad you are here!

What a week it has been! Where to begin? Well, firstly: How are YOU? How has July been treating you? I hope you’ve found yourself near some water, and are enjoying this outside, soaking in the warm summer morning.

We hosted a huge (bigger than our wedding!) party for Fras last weekend to celebrate his 50th. We had friends from all over come to help him ring in this milestone birthday. Fras is known for his thick head of hair, which has become a thing of rarity in our circle with so many of our friends slowly losing some of theirs over time. He decided to shave it all off at the party to raise money for Campfire Circle, a cause close to our hearts. He raised almost $90K! It was so cute at the party - all our kids, nieces and nephews got to take a swipe and help shave it all off! I am so proud of him and I think he looks just as handsome with a buzz cute!

Do you feel like you’re on a hormonal rollercoaster?

PPS: If you want a bite-sized version of the program, you can always join us for the 5-Days to Perimenopause Relief that is starting soon. This is a simple, sustainable and repeatable program that will jumpstart your efforts and get you back in the driver’s seat of your wonky midlife hormones! Join the priority list here!

My client, Sierra, shared with me this homemade electrolyte that I can’t wait to make this week!

Some things you didn’t ask for (but might enjoy)...

HABITS.

TRAVEL. We’ve been living between two cottage country areas this summer - packing and unpacking. Collingwood is all activity, social, exercise and farm living. Muskoka is dock time, boating, great meals and family time.

ADVICE.

LISTENING. I’m ‘reading’ The Favorites, by Layne Fargo via the Libby App. I’ve loved it. Do you use Libby? The wait times can take some patience, but there is nothing better than the surprise that your book has finally become available and you can dive into it.

READING.

SHOPPING. A restock of my favourite protein powder.

SCROLLING.

WATCHING. Just binged The Four Seasons, with Tina Fey and Steve Carrell on Netflix. It was sooo good!

FOOD.

Also - don’t forget about my limited time discount for Inspired Go’s delicious salad delivery service. (they truly are inspired!). My discount code expires this week. I’m always wary of delivery services when I can DIY it, but having these salads on hand has been so amazing for my whole family. I spend $144 for 12 salads. My favourites are the new Peach Caprese Salad. I also love the California Crunch. My girls love the Noodle Fraiche Salad and Fras is a super fan of the High Protein Cobb Salad. CODE: CHRISTIEWELLNESS. If they don’t yet deliver to your area, make sure to fill out this form to let them know you want your address on their map!

That’s it for me this Sunday morning. Thank you for reading and continuing to support this newsletter ❤️ Fill me in on what you’re up to and what you’d like to see more of. xoC
