Welcome to A Lovenote.
A weekly digest where I say hello and share. You’ll find things you can cook this week + some things you didn’t ask for but might enjoy. I’m so glad you are here!
Hello Beautiful!
I am sending this from the cutest little surf town in Mexico. We jetted away from spring in Canada to get some much needed vitamin. Does it feel like spring is finally spring-ing where you are? It’s still pretty cold in Canada, BUT, the light is different in the evenings, I think I might have heard birds chirping before I left….and spring isn’t just arriving outside our windows - it’s happening within us as well. Can you feel it too?
There’s just something magical about spring, isn’t there? The way the earth softens after months of frost, I feel myself softening too. I love the transition of the seasons….It offers a natural reset. As if nature herself is reminding us: growth takes time, but it’s always worth it. A change that invites us to move differently, eat differently and see things through a different light.
Spring Cleaning Isn't Just For Closets
Last week on the blog, I shared "5 Ways to Spring Clean Your Menopause Habits" (if you missed it, you can [read it here]). So many of you resonated with the idea that seasonal transitions offer perfect opportunities to reset our wellness routines.
While the full strategies are in the blog post, here's your gentle nudge to consider what's possible when we approach menopause with the energy of spring:
Pantry refresh: What foods are no longer needed? What nourishment is your body craving?
Movement renewal: How can your exercise routine honour both your strength and your need for reset?
Sleep routine: What small adjustments might transform your sleep environment to support changing temperature needs?
Stress management: Where can you create more spaciousness in your life as your internal seasons shift?
Personally, I've been clearing space – both literally and figuratively. On Friday, I spend the day spring cleaning my fridge and panty. When we get back home, I want to be able to fill the space with fresh, colourful spring produce.
But more importantly, I'm clearing mental space. I’m spending a lot of time thinking about what is holding me back, what negative beliefs are so deeply routed that I barely acknowledge them until they show up as self-sabotage and those "shoulds" and expectations I've carried for decades. There's incredible freedom in releasing what no longer aligns with your evolving self.
As we move through this beautiful season of renewal, I invite you to ask yourself: "What am I ready to release, and what am I ready to welcome in?"
I’d love to help you with this spring clearing. I’m offering a limited number of free 30-minute Menopause SOS calls. These calls are an opportunity for me to help you get to the root of one of your most frustrating hormonal shifts that you feel is holding you back. Let me show you how we can tackle your most challenging (peri)menopause symptom in this new season. Together, let’s harness the energy of spring and finally take aligned action towards prioritizing your health and wellness.
I invite you to book a free 30-Minute Menopause SOS Call to explore what can be possible for you this spring. There is absolutely no obligation to purchase anything. I want to use these sessions to get to know what your struggles and desires are, as it relates to your menopause journey. I am working on a self-directed course and these sessions will provide me with valuable feedback, while at the same time, helping you feel better in this stage of life. Let’s ground into what is possible not just health wise, but in all facets of your life!

Exploring what I've discovered across the web this week...
HABITS. As much as I am committed to creating new healthy habits, I am working on breaking old ones too. One of these is to drink less alcohol. Here is a great article with tips on how to drink less.
We need adult hobbies now, more than ever. Hobbies are like mini mind vacations. I shared this podcast last week that explains the anxiety/creativity connection. If you are finding yourself in a stress cycle, I highly encourage you to carve some time out for a hobby. Mine lately have been puzzling and sourdough baking. But it truly doesn’t matter what you do. Hobbies allow us the opportunity to explore and get to know ourselves. In a world increasingly dominated by screens + social media, building something with two hands feels revolutionary! What will you choose? Watercolours? Photography? Knitting? I want to know what your hobbies are.
SCROLLING. Need some spring inspo? Here are 40 things to do in March.
Feel like you’re on the dinner treadmill? Yeah. Me too.
LISTENING. Did you know that Ella Fitzgerald has her own radio station? This is how to romanticize spring mornings!
READING. How to eat and drink fewer microplastics. I recently bought these silicone alternatives, and they’ve been great addition to my kitchen! Stay tuned while I systematically de-plasticize my home!
If the news is causing a bit of a spiral, you are not alone. The best way to stay informed without spiralling.
Why a manicure might be good for your mental health.
SHOPPING. Not at all spring inspired, but I very badly want these.
TRAVEL. As I type this, I’m in Mexico! 🇲🇽 Sadie and Sully and I came down for some sun, sand and surf. It’s gorgeous. Tiggy and Fras stayed in Canada to prep for Tiggy’s next series of ski races. Missing that they aren’t here with us but I think we are all where we want to be right now. Stay tuned in my Insta stories for fun-in-the-sun updates!
WATCHING. Sadie and I started watching the OG OC. It’s sooo good! Were you a fan? Also, 1923, the Yellowstone prequel is amazing.
FOOD. Still obsessing with my Inspired Go salad delivery service. The salads are fresh, delicious and affordable. I am thrilled to be partnering with them. They have provided us with a code for 20% off. 20CHRISTIE. So many of you have ordered and I love hearing that you love them as much as I do!
St. Patty’s Day is this week! How do you celebrate? Guinness? Anything green? Do tell me your St. Patty’s tradition!
This week’s meal prep plan 03.16.2025
If you are on a mission to eat more protein like so many of us, I thought I would offer up a few suggestions that you can actually make in advance and store for quick grab-and-go options all week long.
These options keep things interesting, are simple to make and won’t compromise flavour or nutritional value.
I’m excited for you to grab these recipes, spend some time today prepping these meals so you set yourself up for a successful and easeful (and high protein!) week ahead!
